Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. (1 Tim. 6:17-18)

Update: Daddy/Daughter Dance 2009

Today, I have a brief addition to my previous post, so here's some more of the story:

My oldest daughter is in second grade and has taken to the idea of writing down her own stories and keeping them in a notebook (smart kid; she sounds like her old man!). At bedtime last night, she was working on a story and walked out to the living room to share her story with me, and lo and behold, she wrote down her own version of the Daddy/Daughter Dance story in perfect chronological order!

These special events really do have meaning for your children. Take the time, energy, and finances to invest in your kids, and they will fondly remember these moments for a lifetime.
