Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. (1 Tim. 6:17-18)

Book recommendations on how the wealthy think and act

Two books that have been great resources of information as I have researched the wealthy mindset have been the following:
  1. The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko. This book can get a little deep on statistical data, but I found it extremely intriguing regarding the behaviors of the "typical" millionaire in America.
  2. The Middle-Class Millionaire: The Rise of the New Rich and How They Are Changing America by Russ Alan Prince and Lewis Schiff. Again, this book is a fascinating account of the values and spending patterns of families with a net worth between $1 - $10 million.

A big part of becoming wealthy is doing intelligent, wealthy actions. We have to know how wealthy people think and behave, and then integrate these patterns into our own lives. The best way to find out this information is to read books such as these.

  1. #1 is great, Larry as is the follow up, The Millionaire Mind. Both are good to listen to as audio books.

I haven't read #2 yet; maybe I'll add it to my list.
